A first class finish for a premier venue!

Our first job of 2017 was to lay another floor at Kent’s premier wedding venue, Cooling Castle Barn.

This time our team were working behind the scenes in the busy kitchens of the venue. We had to ensure that our planning and time keeping were perfect as there was only a small window, between two weddings, where we could complete the installation.

On the first day we spent time preparing the subfloor by screwing down Marine Ply boards and feather edging the joins. To ensure that the floor would be level and flush our team then covered all of the area with a flexible screed.

The new screed was rubbed down on the second day and new non-slip safety flooring was fitted, welded and run part way up the walls.

Our quick and professional turn around enabled the staff at Cooling Castle Barn to refit their kitchen and begin preparations for their first wedding of the year – which was the next day!
